Data & IP Sourcing
Proprietary Data · Patents · Deal Matchmaking
Through IPGlobalBroker, I run data and technology origination. Buyers send a request and we run a paid search for qualified holders of proprietary data and patents. Owners of patents and proprietary datasets get a search for a buyer or licensee.
Every mandate is deal matchmaking: finding the counterparty, qualifying it, and introducing the parties. We support the negotiation; each party runs its own due diligence and contracting with its own counsel.
IPGB works on a written engagement: a fixed fee before any work starts, plus a success fee on the final transaction.
What I Do
For buyers looking for data or technology, and for owners looking for a buyer or licensee

Data Qualification
Checking that a dataset fits the need before money changes hands.
- Coverage, resolution and history
- Sample review
- Rights status as stated by the holder
- Non-personal data only

Confidential Transaction Support
Confidential handling from first contact to signing.
- NDA management

- Coordination between the parties until signing
- Each party is responsible for its own due diligence and counsel
Sectors
Any sector, as long as the need is clearly defined. Strongest networks in:
Energy Generation & Storage
Solar, wind, power generation, batteries and storage
Cleantech
Efficiency, emissions and sustainable technologies
Industrial & Manufacturing
Advanced manufacturing, automation, and industrial process data and technology
How It Works
The same rules for buyers and owners
Request or Submission
Buyers send a written request for the data or technology they need. Owners send a short pre-screening: patent or application number, or the data source and history. A 30-minute call, then a written proposal.
Engagement
An engagement letter covering scope, fixed fee, success fee, confidentiality and non-circumvention. Work starts only once it is signed, and names are shared only after that.
Search, Matching & Qualification
Counterparty mapping and outreach in English, Spanish or German, with NDAs where needed. Candidates are qualified and presented in a report and shortlist.
Introduction & Negotiation Support
We introduce the parties and support the negotiation and term sheet. Each party runs its own due diligence and signs with its own counsel. The success fee is due on the final transaction value.
Non-personal data only. Fixed fee plus success fee; no success-fee-only work. No legal or tax advice.
